Lyman P White Park

Our new Lyman P. White Park, featuring the Mississippi Landing Trailhead, is situated on a 3-acre parcel adjacent to the Mississippi River.  The park was built with the intention of connecting residents and visitors to the Mississippi River through recreation, education, and restoration; providing an accessible connection to the river for everyone.

The park features a fantastic amphitheater in a park setting with great river views, ample terraced seating and open turf space for concerts and community events.  A space for outdoor education, under a pavilion, is available for rent as well.

There is a canoe/kayak launch for use by the public and pays tribute to the site history as a point of departure and arrival.  Two river overlooks, a trailhead kiosk, benches, restroom building, playground and interpretive signs make this a great destination park for the entire family.

The site of the new Mississippi Landing Trailhead at Lyman P. White Park used to be a park. Check out the news article here.
