Oak Street Mill and Overlay - S 6th Street to SE 19th Street - Improvement 14-01 (SAP 108-113-007) - 2017 Construction


Plans ans specifications are available for download off of the City of Brainerd's eGram site at https://egram.ci.brainerd.mn.us/.  Contractors can bid electronically through the City of Brainerd's BidVAULT website.  Project plans and specifications for SAP 108-113-007, SAP 108-129-002 and SAP 108-136-003 are all tied under one State Aid contract and can be downloaded under the SAP 108-129-002 project number in eGram.

Bids close on March 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM CDT.

This work will consist of milling the existing pavement 1.5" and overlaying the milled section with 3" of bituminous pavement.  The added thickness will address the severe rutting that is currently occurring.  Along with the project, the City will be replacing all of the curb ramps to be in compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards.  Along with curb ramp replacement comes replacement of curb and gutter around the curb ramp and topsoil restoration.  The project is planned to be completed in the summer of 2017.  The project will be done in conjunction with two other State Aid Projects on Jackson Street and Buffalo Hills Lane

Traffic will be maintained throughout construction with no planned detours at this time.



​Jackson Street Resurfacing and Sidewalk Project - NW 4th Street to West Brainerd City Limits - Improvement 14-03 (SAP 108-129-002) - 2017 Construction

Plans ans specifications are available for download off of the City of Brainerd's eGram site at https://egram.ci.brainerd.mn.us/.  Contractors can bid electronically through the City of Brainerd's BidVAULT website.  Project plans and specifications for SAP 108-129-002, SAP 108-113-007 and SAP 108-136-003 are all tied under one State Aid contract and can be downloaded under the SAP 108-129-002 project number in eGram.

Bids close on March 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM CDT.

This work will consist of removing the existing gravel and pavement section, preparing a new sub-grade section, and placing a new gravel and bituminous section to meet 9 Ton design standards.  The project will also consist of placing a sidewalk on the south side of the street that will connect from NW 4th Street to the back of the mall at NW 7th Street.  Minor curb and gutter, driveway and storm sewer work will also happen as part of the project.  The project is planned to be completed in the spring to early summer of 2017.  The project will be done in conjunction with two other Municipal State Aid Projects on Oak Street and Buffalo Hills Lane.

A detour will be utilized during construction, however, local traffic will be allowed to traverse through the work area on a limited basis.  The detour will entail Baxter Drive, TH 210, and NW 4th Street.


Buffalo Hills Lane Resurfacing Project - S 6th Street to Graydon Avenue - Improvement 16-13 (SAP 108-136-003) - 2017 Construction
