Miracle League

The Brainerd Lakes Miracle League Field, located in Bane Park, is designed for physically and mentally disabled individuals. The artificial turf field will allow those with disabilities to play baseball on a safe, level surface. Persons using wheelchairs or other mobility devices will easily be able to maneuver around the bases. Team shirt included!

Miracle League rules state that everyone gets a base hit, everyone scores, and at the end of the game, both teams win. A buddy system will be used to help participants bat, round the bases and field the ball. Organizations, services groups and businesses are asked to choose a night or two where they can volunteer to help the physically and mentally disabled individuals play baseball.


  • Cubs: Boys and girls ages 5 - 11 as of June 5, 2018
  • Grizzlies: Ages 12 and up as of June 7, 2018


The registration deadline is May 18, 2018. Registration cost is $37, and the cost for registration post-deadline is increased to $47.


The season runs from June 4 to July 25, 2018. Teams play on the nights as follows:
  • Cubs - 6 p.m. Monday evenings, June 4 - July 24
  • Grizzlies - 6 p.m. Wednesday evenings, June 6 - July 25

Special Event in 2018

Representatives from the Wounded Warriors national softball team will play against the Miracle League players on Friday, July 13. Time to be determined. Afterwards the Miracle League parents, players and friends are invited to attend a special Wounded Warriors game at Mills Field. Numerous activities and fun will take place as we salute the Wounded Warriors.
