    The Junior Police Program transforms the traditional role of the police officer into one of mentor and friend, while encouraging our young citizens to be partners in building safer schools and communities.

  2. Lakes Area Law Enforcement Association (LALEA)

    The Lakes Area Law Enforcement Association (LALEA) builds a positive and mutually beneficial, long-term partnership between the community and law enforcement.

  3. Law Enforcement United

    Law Enforcement United is an organization whose membership primarily consists of a united group of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of all law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty and to support the survivors left behind.

  4. My Favorite Book

    "My Favorite Book" is a unique program that brings community leaders, schools, and other civic organizations together with families and their children to teach and cultivate basic positive character traits.

  5. National Night Out

    The annual National Night Out (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).

  6. Polar Bear Plunge

    The Polar Bear Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations and businesses to support Special Olympics athletes by jumping into frigid Minnesota waters.

  7. Project Blue Light

    Project Blue Light began in 1988, when Dolly Craig, the surviving mother-in-law of Daniel Gleason, a Philadelphia police officer killed in the line of duty in 1986, sent a letter to Concerns of Police Survivors, a non-profit organization that assists families of officers killed in the line of duty.

  8. School Safety Patrol

    It is important to the Brainerd Police Department that students in the Brainerd school district who are selected to be school safety patrol members are well trained and safe as they perform the very important duties of offering direction and providing safety to their fellow classmates.

  9. Shop with a Cop

    Three times each year during the holiday season, the Brainerd Police Department, in partnership with the Lakes Area Law Enforcement Association, do a little part to bring joy and light to these young people’s lives.

  10. Torch Run

    The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics helps raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics movement worldwide.

  11. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

    Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is the International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence.
