It is anticipated after this connection is constructed, the City of Brainerd will enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for designation of this segment and other existing trails in Brainerd as the Cuyuna Lakes State Trail. The City has contracted with Short Elliot Hendrickson, Inc. for design and construction engineering services on this proposed trail segment.
